This online learning program is designed for First Nations Health Workers and Health Practitioners who are responsible for or who have an interest in caring for people with acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. On completion of this program, participants will be able to describe

  • How to prevent the spread of strep A bacteria.
  • The most common signs and symptoms of acute rheumatic fever.
  • The role of the First Nations Health Worker and Health Practitioner in supporting people with acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease.
