The Guideline app is designed to support the Australian health workforce with clinical aspects of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease in the Australian context, including 

• Identification and treatment of Strep A skin and throat infections.
• Recognising clinical manifestations of acute rheumatic fever.
• Management of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease, including secondary prophylaxis.
• Contact information for Australian rheumatic heart disease register and control programs.
• Requirements for notification of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease in relevant jurisdictions.

The app includes a diagnosis calculator to guide clinical suspicion of acute rheumatic fever based on risk factors and presenting symptoms. The algorithm aligns with the 2015 American Heart Association revision of the Jones Criteria.
