The Queensland RHD Register and Control Program are holding a free 2 day Acute Rheumatic Fever (ARF) and Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) workshop.
Learn all about ARF and RHD from leading specialists.
The agenda is still being finalised but topics will include:
- Overview of ARF and RHD in Queensland – Who is at Risk?
- Activities of the RHD Register and Control Program, Queensland
- Management of ARF and RHD in adults and during pregnancy
- Diagnosis and management of ARF and RHD in children
- RHD requiring surgery
- Dental Care and RHD
- Bicillin injections, reducing pain and increasing uptake
- Bicillin injection techniques
- Group A Streptococcus vaccine development and trials
- Specialist outreach services
