RHDAustralia invites SA health professionals to the Acute Rheumatic Fever & Rheumatic Heart Disease Education Workshop
In conjunction with the SA RHD Control Program, RHDAustralia will host a two-day RHD Education Workshop focusing on the prevention, control and management of acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) in Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
This seminar is for health professionals, students and people who work in Indigenous communities.
The presentations will provide insights from a patient, clinical and scientific research perspective.
RHDAustralia will provide attendants with a certificate for 12 AHPRA Continuing Professional Development points.
The event times are as follows:
Wednesday 29th March 8:30am - 4:30pm
Thursday 30th March 8:30am - 1:00pm
The workshop will cover:
- Clinical best practice
- Case studies in rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease prevention, management and treatment
- Advances in technology and research
- Patient perspectives on living with rheumatic heart disease
