NT RHD Education Workshop: Registration now open
RHDAustralia invites NT health professionals to the Acute Rheumatic Fever & Rheumatic Heart Disease Education Workshop
When: 20 & 21 October 2016
Venue: Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin
In conjunction with NT Cardiac Services, Heart Foundation NT and the NT RHD Control Program, RHDAustralia will host a two-day RHD Education Workshop focusing on the prevention, control and management of acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) in Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
This seminar is for health professionals, students and people who work in Indigenous communities.
The presentations will provide insights from a patient, clinical and scientific research perspective.
RHDAustralia will provide attendants with a certificate for 16 AHPRA Continuing Professional Development points.
The event times are as follows:
Thursday 20th October 8:00am - 4:30pm
Friday 21st Ocotober 8:00am - 4:30pm
This event will be fully catered.
Registration cost: $140.00 for 2 day event. Payment for individual days is not possible.
The workshop will cover:
- Clinical best practice
- Case studies in rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease prevention, management and treatment
- Advances in technology and research
- Patient perspectives on living with rheumatic heart disease
CPD/CME points will be available.
